Mike Crapps Named One of the Top 50 Most Influential People

January 24, 2017 (Lexington, S.C.) – Columbia Business Monthly (CBM) has recognized First Community Bank president and chief executive officer Mike Crapps as one of the 50 most influential people in the Midlands. CBM is the go-to resource for executives, entrepreneurs, and other groups who have a vested interest in the success of the Columbia business community.  The magazine’s annual list includes leaders in business, government, and the nonprofit sector. Individuals are selected based on a variety of sources, including staff research and community nominations.

“I’m honored to be recognized with such a distinguished group from so many facets of our community,” said Crapps.  “I look forward to continuing to shape Columbia’s business and community landscape with my team at First Community Bank.”

Crapps is a co-founder of First Community Bank and has served as its president and chief executive officer, as well as on its board of directors since opening the bank in 1995. Under his leadership, the bank has experienced remarkable growth going from two Midlands locations to 16 offices and a full line of products and services to meet the needs of local business owners and professionals. He also serves on the board of directors for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.
