Deposit Sales Support Associate (Account Review) – Administrative Office – Lexington, SC

Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing a high level of customer service, maintaining high quality work standards, meeting deadlines pertaining to deposit consumer and business accounts.  This position will also be cross-trained for other positions in the Bank's Deposit Sales Support area. 

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Timely review of imaged documents
  • System verification
  • Review of deposit consumer and business accounts to insure policies and procedures are followed
  • Monitor CIP compliance on deposit consumer and business account documents

Qualifications Include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of banking experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bank deposit account review and regulatory experience a plus.
  • Ability to compute basic to moderately complex math calculations.
  • Ability to multi task and manage priorities and deadlines.

Mortgage Loan Underwriter

This position is responsible for underwriting and evaluating residential mortgage loan applications originated by the bank’s Mortgage Lenders.  Responsible for recommending loan approval of applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

Duties Include:

• Analyzes personal/business tax returns and financial statements in mortgage loan applications for underwriting
• Evaluates loan risk and makes underwriting decisions on mortgage loan applications following bank policies and procedures, security guidelines, and complying with all federal, state and local regulations
• Demonstrates underwriting guidelines with all of the Bank’s investors and programs
• Conducts credit review to ensure that granted loan approval is within Investor guidelines 
• Makes underwriting decision on each mortgage loan and recommends approval
• Must be able to work overtime as business needs require


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or at least 5-7 years of recent mortgage underwriting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• FHA DE and VA SAR designation required.

Loan Sales Support Associate - Administrative Office - Lexington, SC

This position is responsible for daily functions within the Loan Sales Support department, which include preparation and maintenance of various reports, keying and maintenance functions within the loan support center of the bank.

Duties include:

Keying and verifying loan information
Processing Paid Out Statements
Exception reporting and clearing
Processing hazard insurance coverage
Communication with Lenders, Paralenders and various office staff via e-mail and telephone

IT/Network Associate

~~This position is responsible for basic operations and maintenance of mainframe and PC systems.  This is the primary contact for internal users of the mainframe and PC’s.


Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve as a help desk resource for users to analyze problems and implement corrective action.
• Monitor employee use of Bank systems as requested to determine adherence to internal Bank policies.
• Provide support to banking office staff by installing and/or moving computer equipment and systems as needed.
• Serve as backup support for ensuring telephone system is in proper working order including moving and/or adding phone lines and new users.
• Monitor employee intranet use to determine resource benefit and to identify improvement areas.

Qualifications Include:
• Two-year technical degree or Bachelor’s degree, or a minimum of 2-years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of IT concepts and practices and an in-depth knowledge of networking.

Teller Supervisor - Camden, SC

This position is responsible for coordinating teller staff activities in the Banking Office. Also, responsible for completing all Teller Supervisor tasks and providing leadership for the teller staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Oversee daily transactions of teller staff so as to provide superior customer service with minimal service problems. Includes ensuring accurate and timely processing of basic transactions and services.
  •  Order daily supply of cash and count incoming cash.
  •  Maintain vault cash supply and assist tellers in maintaining their teller window supplies.
  •  Oversee vault security and teller alarm equipment.
  •  Authorize teller transactions including payment of checks within assigned limit.
  •  Identify risks and/or problems with new account deposits, regulatory compliance, overdraft authority, and Bank Secrecy Act.
  •  Carry out specific supervisory responsibilities including assisting manager in: 
  •          recruiting, interviewing and selecting staff following the Bank’s stated hiring process 
  •          scheduling work hours of teller staff and arranging for coverage 
  •          partnering with the Training Department to schedule continuing education for staff 
  •          routine coaching and counseling including providing feedback to Retail Banker
  •  Assist tellers with complex transactions and customer issues to ensure timely and professional resolution. 
  • Assist with risk management practices to include management of teller differences, losses and teller errors.
  •  Handle proportionate volume of work based on banking office demands.
  •  Conduct banking office audits.
  •  Build customer loyalty through courtesy and friendliness including referring customers to other Bank staff as needed.
  •  Follow bank policies and procedures, security guidelines, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations.
  •  Support team sales process by identifying and acting upon customer needs or by making the appropriate referral. Leads and participates in team sales efforts such as team sales goals.

Paralender (Commercial Loan Assistant) - Forest Acres Banking Office, Columbia, SC

This position is responsible for preparing loan packages based on receipt of loan worksheets and commitment letters from commercial bankers.  Preparation includes accurately completing loan documentation, verifying insurance coverage, ordering and/or completing additional external documents (e.g., flood, Census Tract, Secretary of State, etc).

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in analyzing and interpreting loan requests and documents of varying degrees of complexity.  Consumer and commercial loan requests include various collateral, new loans, renewals with increases and modification agreements.
  • Interpret and apply Bank policies such as loan-to-value ratio, appraisal criteria, etc to loans.
  • Order and review loan documentation and notify commercial banker and retail bankers of any identified problems and issues.
  • Exhibit a working knowledge of general lending policies and practices.
  • Prepare system-generated loan documents accurately based on information supplied by commercial bankers (e.g. loan worksheet, commitment letter, loan report, etc).
  • Prepare month end reports for commercial bankers using system generated information.
  • Identify insurance policies accurately (e.g., hazard, collision, builders risk, workers comp, general liability, flood, etc.) and review policies to confirm adequate coverage for loan.
  • Prepare and send wires and various Bank tickets for loan packages.
  • Complete Documentation Checklist indicating received items and items that are pending, missing, incomplete and/or questionable. 
  • Liaison with closing attorneys to deliver total loan package to be used at loan closing.
  • Partner with commercial bankers, retail bankers and centralized paralenders to ensure that loan process is smooth and to resolve documentation and timing issues as necessary.
  • Maintain customer service focus on internal and external customers to encourage positive business relationships.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory and compliance issues that impact credit decisions and loan documentation including Fair Lending, HMDA, Credit Life, and Wolters Kluwer Financial Services resources.  Follow bank policies and procedures, security guidelines, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of all Bank loan products and services.

Customer Service Representative - Blythewood banking office - Blythewood, SC

This position greets customers and assesses needs to determine sales/service focus or referral to appropriate department.  Provides specific services to existing and potential customers such as account opening and/or maintenance, and purchases of CDs, HSAs and IRAs.

Duties Include:

Access customer needs for sales and/or services in a professional manner, determines best solution and clearly communicates that solution to the customer.  Answer questions regarding bank products and services while recognizing sales and referral opportunities.
Stay apprised of existing bank products and services including implementation of new ones.
Open deposit accounts including checking and savings, certificates of deposit, safe deposit box leases, HSAs, IRAs, etc.
Perform specific service transactions for customers including but not limited to reordering checks, making account name and address changes, granting access to safe deposit boxes, etc.
Handle customer service issues by conducting research, assuming ownership of customer problems, and providing follow-up status to customers.
Greet customers to ensure smooth traffic flow within banking office in order to provide efficient service.
Build customer relationships by using bank developed techniques and processes to better serve customers and the banking office team.  Be proactive in daily customer and prospective customer contact, either by phone or in person to identify financial needs, and initiate and/or strengthen relationships.
Support team sales process by identifying and acting upon customer needs or by making the appropriate referral.  Participate in team and individual sales goals.

Human Resources Associate - Employee Relations

Position Summary

Responsible for the bank’s recruiting process, hiring and retention of a highly qualified workforce.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Implement and evaluate the bank’s policies and procedures on recruitment, testing, selection and job placement.
  • Responsible for posting job openings and developing outreach efforts for qualified applicants
  • Conduct interviews.
  • Conduct pre-employment checks.
  • Extend offers of employment.
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation and onboarding efforts to foster positive attitudes toward company goals.
  • Keep records and prepare statistical reports concerning recruitment, interviews, hires, transfers, promotions and terminations.
  • Assist with performance and disciplinary issues
  • Analyzes statistical reports and other data using knowledge of job requirements, valid selection processes and legislation concerning equal employment practices in order to identify and determine causes of problems or inefficiencies in the employment function.
  • Responsible for reporting, including EEO1, Vets100 and Affirmative Action.
  • Maintain Bank’s corporate organizational chart and communicate updates to it.

Commercial Credit Analyst

This position is responsible for analyzing and monitoring the credit worthiness of the bank’s customers.  Analyzes financial statements, tax returns and bank references to evaluate the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit with the bank.  Recommends credit lines within the established bank guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

• Obtains loan request information from Commercial Bankers or borrower to analyze credit information, financial statements and other related information pertaining to the loan.
• Spread financial statements for commercial lenders into Sageworks System.
• Reviews and prepares written analysis, spreadsheets, reports, summaries and recommendations based on risks, credit and collateral.  Assists in presentation of findings to lenders and /or loan committee.
• Understand the background of borrowers and be able to communicate the strengths and weaknesses.
• Prepare memos for financial analysis.
• Credit underwriting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience in loan review or commercial lending; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
